Kingdom Power Ministries is an expression of how God has changed my life.
Sean accepted the Lord at the young age of five in a small church in Oklahoma City, and even at this young age, he was on fire for God. He loved to visit his grandfather who was a minister in a small town in Texas and spend time with him as he did his morning radio broadcast. He often went with his grandfather to the hospital or to the homes of sick congregational members then it was off to church where this five-year old fireball would pretend to preach and lead worship. He loved spending time in the house of God and with his grandfather, a man of God who taught him to love people and to treat everyone the same.
Things changed in Sean's life over the next few years. His parents divorced, he was molested twice between the ages of six and nine, and the family drifted away from God. The only relationship Sean had with God was his prayers and an occasional visit to his grandfather. His next fourteen years were filled with pain, confusion and trouble.
Sean came back to the Lord in 1985 when he walked into a church. He looked for love, forgiveness, acceptance and healing and knew that if it was available anywhere, he would find it in church. However, what he found was a church not filled with the love of Christ, but filled with a legalistic attitude. Instead of healing he found more pain. He looked for people that were real, that he could connect to, but instead found only hypocrisy and self-righteousness. His hunger for growth and healing was not satisfied. This experience drove him back into the world, to search for answers outside the Church, for another ten years.
It was in this ten years where he experienced his greatest pain and made his biggest mistakes. Hurting people hurt people and in his pain Sean made choices that hurt the ones he loved. The low point coming in the years of 1993-1995. Sean had moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career and found himself making the wrong choices in his career and in his life. In those three years Sean appeared in a few soft core films made for late night cable and Playboy. (2005 marks a special moment in Sean's life as it has been Ten years since the last film and God is using him to bring freedom to men caught in the prison of sexual addiction.)
In January of 1996, knowing something must change in his life, Sean rededicated his life to the Lord and has never been the same. The God he knew and experienced from his youth was real. He realized that all those years of prayer were to a heavenly Father who heard every word and cared deeply for him. Sean flourished quickly and was hungry to know God at a deeper level. It was in April of 1996 that Sean knew he was called to preach. Then in July, three months later, the Lord gave him the vision for Kingdom Power Ministries.
Sean has served in several capacities in his local church in addition to having worked with other local churches and ministries to develop various areas of ministry from worship, helps ministries and prayer teams. Everyone plays a vital role to the hurting person walking in the door.
Sean has experienced first hand God's redemptive process and he knows that God is no respecter of persons according to the Bible so if God turned his life around God will do that for anyone that would put their faith and trust in Him. Sean has a burden for the local church, as well as youth and singles particularly those that are lost and hurting. He has seen the importance of walking in love. Sean is on a mission to bring a message of intimacy with the Father, transparency with people and unconditional love for one another. His passion is to train and equip Christians to walk an empowered and effective life, so they can truly affect the world around them.
